A quick preview of what is to come from Benny in 2010.

Not that BAPE has looked bad lately, but this upcoming collection looks a lot better than what they have been putting out. I’m not saying that because Ye is wearing it, but everything besides the bright multi-colored hoodie looks pretty good. Lookout for this stuff in Spring 2010.
Fitted Hawaii’s latest pack pays homage to the US Navy which has a lot of roots in the islands with Pearl Harbor. The pack features a Kamehameha, accurately named U.S.S. Kamehameha, which is named after the U.S. Navy submarine with the same moniker (SSBN-642). The hat is dipped in navy blue with a gold Kamehameha and eyelets, including a gold rope which wraps around and gold leaves, normally associated with highranking Naval officers. The rest of the pack features a zip-up hoody (called Fox One) in gray with 49 navy blue stars and one gold star (representing Hawaii). The front features the words FITTED HAWAII / ALOHA SERVED DAILY wrapped around a gold 50. The t-shirt, titled “Intercept” (as in radar intercept) features a radar graphic, printed on white, with gold leaves around the radar blip. The radar, centered on the Hawaiian islands is printed in navy blue. The pack is available starting today at Fitted Hawaii.
With two of my favorite brands coming together, I thought it would be a perfect collaboration. Well I cannot say I am pleased with the final product. I am sure there is a reason why they chose leather for the fitted, but it looks pretty bad. I kind of wish they put their logos together like the Major collabo, rather than choosing to go with Greed. The tee is pretty nice, but I don’t think I will be copping any of this when it drops next week.
By now you have probably seen the sneakers Black Scale worked on with Android Homme, but here is the half-zip satin jacket that will be dropping alongside it. This weekend the collection will drop at the Flagship store in SF and the Concept store in LA. I really like the jacket and hopefully I will be able to get my hands on it.
Luckily in the Bay Area, we have the flagship Black Scale location in San Francisco, but the Southern Cali folks have not been so lucky. Until Black Friday, when Black Scale opened their concept shop on the upper floor of Hall of Fame on Fairfax. The concept store will be open until 2010, so you have less than a month to stop by and check out Black Scale’s latest offerings. It will be worth the trip so head out to Fairfax as soon as possible.
You may have seen most of this collection already in my other posts, but here is the official lookbook for Black Scale and their Winter offerings. The way things look, I will be having to make another trip up their flagship store in San Francisco. I copped a couple tees and a beanie my last time there, but I already see more tees and a hoody that I want. The collection should be available now so check your closest BS dealer or head out the one of Black Scale’s locations.
Bay Area sneaker boutique and brand True has a New Era cap almost every type of fan. Whether you’re a fan of the San Jose Sharks, Michael Jordan, or even Ashy Larry, True has a cap for you with their “12 Days of Christmas” collection. 12 Days of Christmas drops this Saturday, Dec 5th at True, True East and online at trueclothing.net. At $32 each, these are much more reasonably priced than most New Era fitteds.
Black Scale just dropped one of their dopest collection this Fall, but they are back already with their Winter 2009 collection. The drop has already hit retailers like Kingdom, who got the re-up of tees. Check out the collection including the BLVCK OPS IV tee after the jump, and your local BS dealer to see if they got their shipment.
Earlier this year, Benny Gold sat down with students at the college he went to in Georgia. While he was there, they filmed this short video talking about how he gets over his creative blocks as well as his own works. Gold puts in so much time and effort into his brand and it definitely shows. Look out for even more stuff next year, including some Benny Gold denim.
As we approach the Holiday season it seems to be getting colder and colder, but Nike Sportswear has us covered. Well at least they will with their new outerwear collection for the Holiday season. From some nice hoodies to M-65 jackets, NSW probably has a jacket for you so check them out at your closest NSW dealer.
Gourmet has become one of the premier independent sneaker brands and I even copped a pair recently. They have teamed up with Rick Klotz’s[Freshjive] surfware inspired brand Warriors of Radness for a perfect looking Summer shoe using the L’Tre model. Not that this shoe can only be worn then, but it looks like the ideal shoe to wear with some board shorts while heading off to the beach. These won’t drop until next Summer 2010 so check back later for availability.
For this past week, The Hundreds has been showcasing the magic that the DeLorean headquarters is in Texas in anticipation of their upcoming collaboration. Well the collection is here and I am kind of disappointed. Nothing really interests me nor does anything look unique unlike the DMC-12 car itself. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I thought TH would take more of advantage of this unique situation they were given. I mean not everyone gets to do a special collab like this. You can take a look at the full collection of hats and tees after the jump. I can see some inspiration in the fitted cap, but the tees are just alright. The collection drops this Thursday at THLA and THSF and there will be an actual DeLorean DMC-12 at THLA on Thursday and then at the THSF on Friday and Saturday.
Ibn Jasper has to be one of the luckiest guys to know kanYe. Well he does cut his hair, but not many people get a pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers named after them. Ibn has taken the sneakers that are named after him and used it an an inspiration for his own custom 5-panel caps with Quintin. The caps use the same styling as the sneakers down to the tassels. So far Ibn Jasper has been seen with the cap in grey and black, to match the colorways of the sneaker. Hopefully these will be dropping soon, because they look pretty nice.
