Today Google finally announced their own operating system, but really announced a replacement of the whole concept of an OS. They say most people just use computers to use the internet and all they use is a web browser. So they replaced the entire OS with their web browser Google Chrome. The Google Chrome OS runs all of the internet with cloud computing. It is expected to release in the second half of 2010 on Netbooks. From the videos, it looks very simple and convenient, but what happens if your internet goes down? I’m sure there will be some type of offline mode, or else I don’t see this working very well.
