The new Dr. Pepper commercial features Dr. Dre and he plays the beat for Shit Popped Off, which confirms that it will be on Detox according to Billboard. I believe Dre samples Malcom Mclaren’s Buffalo Girls for the intro of the song, which leaked earlier this year. Many speculated that it would be on Detox, only T.I. was rapping which confused some people. Detox won’t be out for a while so, don’t get too excited over this.

It may just be a few seconds of music, but Dr. Dre fans will remember the new Dr. Pepper ad as the spot where they heard the first officially released beats from the much-delayed Detox.

The L.A.-based hip-hop producer appears in the last installment of an ad campaign entitled Trust Me, I’m A Doctor, and teases music from the long-awaited album, currently slated for a late 2009 release on Aftermath/Interscope. The commercial will begin airing on Monday, June 1.
