Tonight at the American Music Awards, Jay and Alicia performed their hit song Empire State of Mind. I would have liked to have seen Jay and Ye do Hate, that would make a statement.

Jay-Z finally got his number 1 single in America and one of the biggest songs of the year, with Empire State of Mind, but not without the help of Alicia Keys. For Key’s upcoming album, they will be delivering a sequel that she performs in the video sans Jay. This version will mainly be Alicia Keys, which her fans will probably enjoy more. But for us Jay-Z fans, he will have another verse. Element of Freedom, her fourth studio album will be dropping on December 15, 2009.

Who knew Mos Def could produce? This track is smooth and I guess you can consider this the first track from Center Edge Territory since it has Mos Def and Curren$y on it. It’s quite short too so maybe Jay Electronica will be getting on the track.

Why Wale left 9th Wonder off of his album? I have no idea, but luckily for us 9th has slipped us a few tracks via his twitter. This one uses a similar hook to part of Let It Loose so maybe Wale chose that song over this one. Both songs are nice, but 9th is one of my favorite producers, so I like this one better.

It seems like it has been a while since Cudi has been in the spotlight. That may be because he was filming his upcoming HBO show, but he was in Miami this past week and put on a good show. He performed one of my favorite songs from 2009 and I hope he will be coming back to the Bay Area, by himself. I am not going to go see his show later this month with Lady Gaga headlining the show.

Today Google finally announced their own operating system, but really announced a replacement of the whole concept of an OS. They say most people just use computers to use the internet and all they use is a web browser. So they replaced the entire OS with their web browser Google Chrome. The Google Chrome OS runs all of the internet with cloud computing. It is expected to release in the second half of 2010 on Netbooks. From the videos, it looks very simple and convenient, but what happens if your internet goes down? I’m sure there will be some type of offline mode, or else I don’t see this working very well. Check the videos after the jump to get a better understnding of Google’s latest venture.

Before the last stop on the tour, J. Cole and Wale spits some freestyles at a Denny’s. Wale is a pretty good freestyler, even when he’s high, and J. Cole does a pretty good job as well. Hope to see the two Roc Nation rappers working together more in the future, because Beautiful Bliss is one of my favorite songs of 2009.

XXL met up with Pac Div to talk about how they work like a basketball team and their upcoming album. The album, Grown Kids Syndrome, should be dropping early next year on Universal Motown, the same label Cudi is on. There should be a mixtape out before then, maybe even this month, so stay tuned for that.

To be honest, I’ve never really thought of Dame Dash as the most level-headed person to come out of Roc-a-fella. But after watching this video, I have a lot more respect for him. He seems to finally figured things out and unfortunately Roc-a-fella took a turn for the worst. He seems to understand life as a whole, much better than Beanie Siegel, who is now going after Jay-Z. Watch the video as he talks about the demise of Roc-a-fella.

Just like the North America shops, Europe has gotten their turn at making their own Reebok Pump for the 20th Anniversary. Reebok collaborated with 24 Kilates, colette, Hanon, Patta, Size?, Solebox, and SNS. Once again each pair has been designed to the specifications of each store. My favorites out of this round are the colette and 24 Kilates ones, pictures above. They are limited to 31 pairs to the respected stores and will be available this weekend.

I have been waiting to post these Reebok 20th Anniversary of the Pump collaborations, and there are so many of them that I figure I’d wait till they were all shown before making a post. In North America, Reebok has collaborated with Alife Rivington Club, Bodega, Commonwealth, HUF, Pack Shoes, Kicks Hawaii, Saint Alfred, Stolen Riches, Undefeated. Each store will be receiving 31 numbered pairs of their individually designed sneaker. Each has a story behind it like Kicks Hawaii’s that take inspiration from the ocean and sand. My favorites are the Undefeated and Stolen Riches ones that are posted above. Check the stores this weekend as they are sure to fly off the shelves.

Join Maestro & his friend Jonathan Mannion as they spend an afternoon at Mannion studios digging through past, present & future works of the seasoned photographer including the likes of Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Usher, Aaliyah and many others. Plus J. Mannion lets Maestro get a spot on the “Wall Of Fame”. I am pretty sure Maestro knows every single person that has some type of importance in the behind the scenes of things. I mean you go through Jonathan’s library of photos and you see some of the most iconic album covers and magazine shoots ever. I can’t even imagine who Maestro is going to be showing next.

With the Grammy Family reuniting, plus the new relatives, you might think this would be the song of the year. Well not quite. It’s not like this is a bad song, but it is just too many people on the song. Each of them only get like 15 seconds for their verse and they seem way too short. This is like torture to get such short verses from kanYe and Common, I need full verses from them. I think these guys plus Mr. Hudson and GLC need to make a G.O.O.D. Music mixtape, that way they each get the time they deserve instead of trying to squeeze in on one song.

Skee.TV catches up with Wale at the DJ Hero HQ where he tries to be a DJ Hero with his own songs that are featured in the game. Wale gives his thoughts on the game and video games in general. Hopefully more of Wale’s songs will be added to the game as DLC, because he needs more than Chillin in the game.

Ibn Jasper has to be one of the luckiest guys to know kanYe. Well he does cut his hair, but not many people get a pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers named after them. Ibn has taken the sneakers that are named after him and used it an an inspiration for his own custom 5-panel caps with Quintin. The caps use the same styling as the sneakers down to the tassels. So far Ibn Jasper has been seen with the cap in grey and black, to match the colorways of the sneaker. Hopefully these will be dropping soon, because they look pretty nice.
