As a fan of Wale for over a year now it is good to see his debut album finally release. It did not come without a couple delays, but that happens to most artist. Wale is making his rounds on the TV networks today to promote his album. He briefly sat down with Alexa Chung on MTV and then performed Pretty Girls. He will also be on 106 & park and Jimmy Fallon’s show today.

What do Wale, Cudi, and Drake have in common besides their upcoming GQ Man of the Year award? Well they could have had a song produced by kanYe. Watch the video as Wale tells the story of how kanYe flew out to Europe to play Jay-Z some beats. One of them called Let the Money Fall has Cudi on the hook and Wale desperately wanted the beat, but Jay said no. It is so so obvious Wale is dying to work with kanYe, and I hope it happens because I think they have similar styles and would work well together. BTW check Wale’s Jay-Z face.

Wale and Commonwealth will be hosting a party to celebrate the launch of Wale’s debut album Attention: Deficit on Wednesday night at Commonwealth DC. To commemorate the event, they will be dropping two exclusive t-shirts that relate to the album. The shirts will be available in store and on their online shop. The album drops tomorrow and I know I’ll be picking up my copies.

Damn I thought I was doing it back in the day, but my handball game was no where even close to these guys from NYC. I had no idea people played handball on the street, as a matter of fact so seriously. This video was shot by 13th Witness, who has done the intro for the past two seasons of Maestro Knows. His work is very pleasing visually and there is something about his lighting that makes the shot seem just right. Going through his Flickr page, every photograph looks perfectly shot. How come I couldn’t get this guy to take my yearbook/senior pictures?

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, been really sick. No swine flu though. Anyways in this episode Maestro takes the ferry into the city to visit his friend Anoma, fashion director for Complex Magazine and experiences a new and different day in New York City. Complex Magazine is pretty much the only magazine I read. Not only because I get it for free, but I actually enjoy the majority of the magazine.

The Supra Skytop has become one of the most popular sneakers and the highly anticipated sequel has been revealed. Although I have never bought into Supra’s hype, they have some nicely designed skate sneakers and I am sure these will be just as popular as the first ones. After Weezy was seen rocking the Skytops, its popularity seemed to take off and it has not seemed to come down since then. This debut colorway will drop exclusively at Colette in Paris on November 21, 2009 with only 600 pairs. For those who won’t be able to make it France, I am sure dozens of colorways will be dropping in 2010.

Looks like I will need to head down to Atlas again, as they just released Benny Gold’s Fall 2009 collection. Benny has perfected his craft with his graphics tees, New Era fitteds, and a 5-panel spapback for the Fall 09 collection. There has been so much releasing lately, but I’ll have to manage copping a couple of these items. Check your local BG dealer as they should have the new stuff in by now.

I knew Jay-Z would be bringing his tour back to North America as he hit only a couple places earlier this year. Well it is now confirmed, with Young Jeezy opening, Jay-Z will be bringing the back The Blueprint 3 Tour in 2010. The list of cities and dates can be found after the jump, and tickets go on sale on November 13, 2009. Looks like March 24, 2010 will be my day as Jay will be hitting the HP Pavilion in San Jose.

With maybe the greatest news in hip-hop in a while, Jay Electronica, Mos Def, and Curren$y have joined forces to make up the hip-hop group of Center Edge Territory. Surprisingly the one of the guys who can be credited for the group is Dame Dash, as the three met at his new studio DD172. Before anyone calls this just another CRS[kanYe+Lupe+Pharrell], Curren$y says they are already six tracks deep and will be releasing an album next year. I know how hard it is for groups like these to get something done, but I think these guys can do it. I can see Mos Def and Jay Elec working together since Jay Elec opened for Mos Def on his Ecstatic Tour and Mos Def graced Jay with his verse on Exhibit B. Then you add Curren$y into the mix, who has become one of my favorite up and coming rappers. I can only imagine they will be getting Just Blaze on the beats with Jay E in the group, but Mos Def and Curren$y have had excellent production in the past as well. A good portion of Rihanna’s upcoming album Rated R album has already leaked, but this is the only song I felt was worth posting. Jeezy has a decent verse on this and may have fired a couple shots at feature favorite Gucci Mane. I’m sure the album will have insanely great commercial success when it drops later this month on November 23, 2009.

Weezy just put out the track that his latest mixtape and surprisingly I like the song. I‘m a fan of Wayne, but it has been a while since I heard a song I really liked from him. The beat on here is nice and Weezy’s verses are good, but Birdman was not needed. The Rebirth should be releasing later this year, but I am not sure if this will be on there.

There is way too much music in the world to listen to all the good music, and Diz Gibran must have slipped past my radar when his mixtape dropped earlier this year. Well anyways he has a new music video and this is one of the best songs I have heard in a while. BJ, who you probably know from Maestro Knows, is great on the hook and the video beautifully showcases So Cal with the wide angle lens. Gibran is definitely one of the underrated artists that I will have to look out for in the future. Glad to see more rappers are putting Cali back on the map.
